Chunky's Goodie Box

Before the movie we’ll present the cake (if one is provided by host), sing to the birthday star & blow out candles (don’t be surprised if the entire theater sings along & claps)! After that we take the cake back into the kitchen & serve with ice cream during the movie as a special treat. Each child will leave the party with our NEW goodie box including assorted candy PLUS a free movie admission pass and a free popcorn coupon!

*This is only a request. Your event is not fully scheduled until our function coordinator contacts you to finalize your request. Our function coordinator’s office hours are daytime Monday through Friday. Your request will be answered as promptly as possible during her working hours (no later than noon the next business day).

To receive a prompt and accurate response, please ensure all questions are answered before submitting. Specifically, the number of people invited (potential maximum)…please make sure to include seating for adults.

FYI…Availability is dependent on the number of people invited (children and adults reserved). Please provide an accurate number to ensure correct availability.

  • 3D films are subject to an added $3.00 surcharge.
  • Parties booked on a (non-holiday) weekday receive a discount of 1.50 per person.
  • Tax and gratuity are not included in the package price.

How do I book a birthday party at Chunky’s?

To book a birthday party please call our function line at 1(888)879-9001 or fill out an online request!

What is your policy on adults attending the party?

ADULTS RESERVED AT YOUR PARTY TABLE CAN EITHER:
  • Participate in the party package (offered at the same price as the children – which includes admission)
  • Order directly from our full menu which unfortunately does not include pizza (plus the cost of admission) – as long as a minimum of 8 participants is met in our package.
  • *Because Chunky’s is a restaurant (and not a common space facility…where parents can just “hang out”) we only reserve seats, and potentially turn other people away at the door, for people who are guaranteeing a meal/package sale

I understand your minimum is 8. Can that include parents/adults?

Yes. We need a minimum of 8 paying participants in the package. It can be a combination of children and adults.

What is the birthday cake procedure?

If you bring a cake, we will provide the plates, napkins, utensils and *candles if needed. We will present the cake and cut and serve for you!

My child doesn’t drink soda. Do you have any other options?

The package includes what we have on our fountain. We have a Pink Lemonade and Filtered Water option. Juice is not part of the package.

What movies will you have for the party?

We always try to have the newly released PG/G family film. We typically have good information on movies and times about 3-4 weeks in advance. Please fill out our birthday request form; we will put your name on a list that holds the date(s). We will get back to you as soon as the information becomes available. FYI…Prices are subject to incur an added $3 surcharge per person if the family film we have is 3D. We do not know if the movies are in the 3D version until 3-4 weeks in advance.

What are the general movie times for a party?

We have two matinee times on the weekends, holidays and school vacation weeks. The first show-time ranges from appx 12:00p, to 1:30pm and the second show-time ranges from appx 3:00pm to 4:45pm. During Fall, Winter and Spring (when school is in session), our week-day showtimes are on Wed, Thurs & Fri only (no Mon/Tues) generally at appx movie times ranging from 3:45pm to 4:45pm (depending on location and length of movie). Our party coordinator should have more exact information in the 3-4 week time-frame.

What will I find in the “Chunky’s goodie box” party favor?

Each child at the party will receive a goodie box resembling traditional movie theater candy. The goodie box includes: a free movie admission pass for the child’s next visit, a free popcorn coupon, and an assortment of fun-size Skittles and Starbursts.

How does the birthday video on the big screen work?

Chunky’s provides a “Happy Birthday” video on the big screen before the movie. This video plays before the trailers begin (5-10 minutes before the movie’s start time). The video shows a short minion-themed clip then displays “Happy Birthday” with a picture of your child. After your birthday party request is approved, our function coordinator will request a high resolution, face-focused photo of the birthday child (phone cameras are perfectly fine). Please do not send the photo before the coordinator asks for it. *A party may be not be eligible for a birthday video if the party is finalized less than 5 business days in advance.

Can we bring in balloons?

We do not allow balloons as they obstruct the viewing of the screen.

When do I confirm the number of people attending?

Our party coordinator will give you a specific day…but it is typically 5-7 business days before your party.

When do we pay?

Payment is due on the day of your party. Your server will present you with the bill towards the end of the movie.

Do I need to put down a deposit?

No. To book your party we just need some specific information about your party to put in our system.

What time do we need to arrive at the theater?

Everyone should arrive *one hour before the show time for your birthday celebration. The party is over when the movie is over. *45mins is okay if it is an after-school movie time

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit cards for payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover). We do not accept personal checks. We will also accept Debit Cards as long as they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.
